This is a great one-day trip for anyone who enjoys biking. This is an enjoyable day trip which includes visiting not only Maras and the Inca ruins of Moray but also the famous Salt mines!

Itinerary

TOUR DESCRIPTION:

You will be picked up from your hostel at 09:00 a.m to start the trip. The bus takes approximately one hour and a half to the village of Chequerec (Chinchero) located at 3,650 masl. Where we start our ride. The ride lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes. Our first stop is the archaeological site of “Moray” (3,575 m.a.s.l.) We’ll spend around 30 minutes visiting the site enjoying the beauty of the nature and archaeology. The road to Moray is initially flat with slight inclinations (10 mt. MAX). This part of the tour is very attractive and exciting because of its permanent ups and downs. Continuing our trip, we’ll arrive to Maras where we will enjoy our lunchbox. After 1 hour downhill rides, we’re gonna feel the peace of the Andean countryside. Then, you will be ready to go on riding to the terraces of salt mines in Maras (approx. 1 hour 20min). After this visit, you will be ready to come back to Cusco.
