This page provides the availability for the Inca Trail in real time. Please note the following information:
The Inca Trail is closed in February for maintenance, thus that month is not available.
The availability applies to the Inca Trail itself and not to our agency. Whichever agency you choose, they all have the same availability. Once there and before, it is not necessary to contact another travel agency if the date you want is complete.
A lot of available spaces, it does not mean at all that “there is time”. Some agencies group their requests and it is not unusual to see 30 spaces going away in only 5 minutes.
Availability is controlled by the Ministry of Culture of Peru. Only they are able to control and authorize access to the Inca Trail.
According to the current regulations (Resolution n º 02 -2003- UGM- CD), access to the Inca Trail is limited to 500 people per day, including the staff. For this reason, the number of available spaces on this page corresponds to spaces for trekkers, that is about 40% of the total amount (approximately 60 % corresponds to the staff).
According to the same regulations, reservations can only be made for the current season (from March to January).
For dates out of season, you can pre-book the trek buying first a 40 %, then 60 % balance in January when booking are opened.
For practical reasons, it is not possible to book less than 72 hours before departure of the trek or less than 20 spaces available. If desired, you can subscribe to receive the availability:
