Overview

A half-day guided tour would be a perfect introduction to Cusco, running daily (from Monday to Sunday). It includes all the main sites in the center of the town such as the Qorikancha (temple of the sun) as well as the four main ruins on the outskirts of Cusco (Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puka Pukara). This tour includes transportation.

IMPORTANT

In addition to the price of the tour you must buy your tourist ticket that costs:

Qoricancha temple entrance ticket: 15 soles (adults) and 10 soles (children under 11 years old)

General tourist ticket: 130 soles (adults) and 70 soles (students) with ISIC card (Valid for 10 days) recommended to combine city tour and Sacred Valley, South Valley, and museums in Cusco.

Partial tourist ticket: 70 soles (adults and students) with ISIC card (Valid for 2 days) only recommended Sacred Valley.

Itinerary

QORICANCHA

Legendary Temple of the Sun and the main ceremonial place of the Inca Empire, which, together with the Santo Domingo Convent, display a fascinating combination of Inca architecture.

SAQSAYHUAMAN

Then, we will get on the bus to go to the upper part of the city where the impressive archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman is located, one of the greatest works of the Incas, where there are gigantic walls of perfectly placed megalithic stones, and the best views are appreciated. from the city of Cusco.

QENQO

Kenko or Qenqo, in Quechua Q'inqu - 'labyrinth', is an archaeological center, it was an Inca enclosure where religious ceremonies were held. It has impressive sanctuaries such as the sacrificial room, the intihuatana, and astronomical observatory, the zigzagging gutter, and the amphitheater, many of which were destroyed by the Spanish.

PUCAPUCARA

We will continue our visit to the Inca military post of Pucapucara (or red stone) which had specific military purposes, was the control point for entering Cusco, and also served as a resting place.

TAMBOMACHAY

We ended in Tambomachay, it was a center of adoration and cult of water,
