Day 1: Cusco / San Pedro De Cachora / Santa Rosa
Early in the morning, we’ll leave the place for the community of San Pedro de Cachora where we’ll arrive after two and a half hours of travel. Doing one stop for breakfast After inspecting the entire team both in camp as the mules and horses that will support the expedition which will begin the walk on the route of about 21.00 km. We will do it at 09:00 a.m. Throughout the journey, we will not fail to marvel of the vast array of wildlife that nature gives us apart from being in brief contact with residents of the town as “La Colmena and La Aguada”, we’ll arrive at “the Capuliyoc route” the lookout from which to appreciate the whole Apurimac valley, we’ll continue toward the villages of Huayhuacalle, Tinajayoc, Cocamasana, Torwisqana, Chiquisqa and in this place, we will rest briefly and take supplies of fresh water and crystal-down of the glaciers in the area.
At noon we will reach the lower part of the route the banks of the Apurimac River where we expected a roofer lunch, and we continue to observe the impressive canyon of the Apurimac its depth, its shape, causing the river and went through the orchards to finally get to Santa Rosa where we will camp after dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Santa Rosa – Choquequirao
Again, we’ll get up very early, so after breakfast, we’ll start walking towards our great goal Choquequirao.
At about the mid-morning, we will make our entrance to the area inch by inch Choquequirao walk around the archaeological complex wonderful inch to inch of the great skill and intelligence that took the man who built this vestige that today makes us put our eyes back to that glorious era of the Inca empire.
Stunned of so much beauty and with a thousand ideas in the head, unperturbed watching the flight of the Condors that at about 03:00 in the afternoon making their appearance in the sky as they fly on the way of Choquequirao to higher areas.
Then, we’ll head towards Raqaypata where we will camp after dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Choquequirao / Chiquisqa
After breakfast, we’ll begin our return to last about 8 hours. Down the same path that brought us up to Choquequirao, again by the places that for some reason we do not achieve it, we will see a decline gradually from 3,033 meters above sea level. Until the banks of the Apurimac River in beach Rosalina 1,950 meters above sea level where lunch will be served and then continue until Chiquisqa place where the trip will give us shade and cool water, and this time we will offer a place for having dinner and spend the night.
Day 4: Chiquisqa / Cachora / Cusco
After breakfast, we’ll begin our return to last about 8 hours. Down the same path that brought us up to Choquequirao, again by the places that for some reason we do not achieve it, we will see a decline gradually from 3,033 meters above sea level. Until the banks of the Apurimac River in beach Rosalina 1,950 meters above sea level where lunch will be served and then continue until Chiquisqa place where the trip will give us shade and cool water, and this time we will offer a place for having dinner and spend the night.
